Yardie policies
Terms of Service
Simple rules for using Yardie — for customers booking lawn visits and for local entrepreneurs who run a yard route. Estimated prices, per-customer rates after the first visit, proof photos, billing, and platform rules.
Effective August 16, 2026
Who’s who
Yardie is the software platform that powers billing, scheduling, routing tools, and local signup pages. Yardie is operated by Mahy Group LLC.
Your local Yardie route is run by an independent entrepreneur (the business name on your signup page). They set estimated prices, manage visits, and are your main contact for day-to-day service. They are responsible for carrying their own business and vehicle insurance; Yardie does not insure their operations.
Mowers may complete lawn visits on behalf of your local route. Yardie does not send its own crews and is not a national lawn company. Using Yardie means you understand service is fulfilled by independent local operators, coordinated on the Yardie platform.
The service
Yardie helps arrange lawn and yard visits — mowing, raking, trimming, and any custom services your local operator publishes — plus booking, routing, completion proof, and billing, depending on your route’s schedule and service area.
Recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits are a route cadence, not a Stripe calendar subscription for the yard itself. You can skip a visit or stop using the service anytime. When you use Yardie, these Terms still apply to that use.
Local routes may share yard rules (access notes, what to include, service areas) that stay consistent with these Terms.
Schedule, skip & access
When you join a route, you choose services, a visit cadence (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or one time), an open time slot, and yard notes. Your route may send a visit reminder by text when you have consented to SMS.
- Reply SKIP to that reminder, or skip in the app, to cancel the upcoming visit. A skip is not billed.
- A skip applies to that scheduled visit only. Your usual cadence resumes on the next cycle unless you skip again or pause service.
- Reply SKIP does not unsubscribe you from Yardie texts. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS.
- If the yard is not accessible when the mower arrives (locked gate, missing access notes, pets loose, or similar), the visit may be marked no access and is not billed.
- Your local entrepreneur may pause your account (for example if a card on file fails). Upcoming visits may stay paused until the balance is paid.
SMS / text messages
By providing your mobile number on Yardie signup (or in profile settings) and checking the SMS consent box, you agree to receive recurring service texts from Yardie about your account and lawn visits (visit reminders, status updates, and related service messages). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, or START to resubscribe. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Full opt-in documentation: SMS program & opt-in. Privacy details: Privacy Policy — SMS.
Yard access & proof photos
You’re responsible for providing an accurate service address and any access notes your route needs to complete a visit safely (gate codes, dogs, equipment hazards, what not to cut).
Mowers typically take a completion photo as proof of work. That photo is used to confirm the visit and to bill after the work is done. Don’t share access codes you wouldn’t want a service provider to use.
Payment — estimates, then your rate
Prices shown on the landing page, signup page, and in the app are estimates published by your local route, not hard prices. Every yard is different (size, slope, overgrowth, extra services). After the first completed visit, your operator sets an exact recurring price for your yard only. That locked rate is what later visits are billed at unless they change it (for example if you add a service).
Yardie bills after a visit is completed with proof, using a card on file. You are not charged when you book, and you are not charged for skipped visits or no-access visits.
Recurring service is not a prepaid subscription: each completed visit is a separate charge. By saving a card and booking Yardie visits, you authorize those charges. A failed card may pause the next visit until you pay.
Questions about a charge? Start with your local Yardie contact listed on your route page or in the app.
Accounts & acceptable use
Keep your login and contact info current. Don’t misuse the platform (fraud, harassment, scraping, or interfering with routes or other customers). We or your local route may suspend access if needed to protect the service or others.
For route entrepreneurs — insurance, liability & no profit guarantee
If you run a local Yardie route, Yardie is the software platform, branding assets, and operational tools that help you build a lawn business. You remain an independent business owner: you set estimated prices, lock per-customer rates after the first visit, manage mowers and visits, and pay your own costs.
- Your own business insurance. You must obtain and maintain appropriate business / general liability insurance (and any other coverage required for your operations) at your own expense. Yardie does not provide, arrange, underwrite, or pay for your business insurance.
- Your own vehicle insurance. Any vehicle you or your mowers use for route work must be covered by valid automobile insurance that you arrange and keep current. Yardie does not provide auto insurance or coverage for wrecks, accidents, or roadside incidents.
- No platform responsibility for wrecks or claims. Yardie and Mahy Group LLC are not responsible for vehicle accidents, property damage, personal injury, third-party claims, or other losses arising from how you, your mowers, or your helpers operate the route — including negligence.
- No customer payouts from Yardie. Yardie does not owe customers refunds, goodwill credits, insurance-style settlements, or other dollar support based on your (or your helpers’) acts, omissions, or negligence. Any claim handling or compensation to customers is between you, your customers, and your insurers — not an obligation of the Yardie platform.
- No profit guarantee. Yardie does not guarantee any specific financial return, profit, positive cash flow, customer volume, or income. Results depend on your local market, effort, pricing, and how you run the route.
- No responsibility for business losses. Yardie is not responsible for negative income, operational losses, unpaid balances you choose to absorb, or unexpected expenses incurred while operating your route.
Platform vs local route — limitation of liability
Yardie (Mahy Group LLC) provides software, payments tooling, and branding. Day-to-day lawn service is performed by independent local route entrepreneurs and their mowers.
- Yardie is not the employer of local entrepreneurs, mowers, or helpers, and does not control their vehicles, driving, or on-site lawn practices.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, Yardie and Mahy Group LLC are not liable for accidents, wrecks, property damage, personal injury, missed visits, or other losses arising from a local route’s operations or negligence.
- Yardie does not provide insurance coverage for customers or routes, and does not pay insurance-style claims or customer compensation on behalf of a local entrepreneur.
- Service questions and damage claims should start with your local Yardie route. Platform questions can go to Yardie as described under Changes & contact.
